Jewel In No Crown.... yet

I promised to help a niece in taking pictures of her hand-made jewellery for sale.  It's also for my own experience in trying to photograph those accessories.

In any case, this is my first few shots and I will be trying some other angles with perhaps another lens and more lighting set-up.

Any pointers from the pro's out there?

Sunset string

Green hornets

Midnite madness

Fiery feast

Aquous surprise

Multi Lingual

Lava lava

These are all semi-precious stones of sorts. She makes them for sale and if there's anyone interested, please leave a comment so I can forward to her. She will be creating her own facebook / blog in the near future.

Till the next posting~~!!

shots a bit straight forward. try different method of presentation. if possible use photoshop to replace the background to compliment the stones. Do not forget to soften your lights, the higly polished stones are reflecting too muc lights. The look kind of harsh. The idea is to bring across the colors and shape of the stones in the most pleasing manner to your targeted viewer. He He He.
