Dong Zen temple in Jenjarom..

Yesterday (saturday) FS and Chung fetched me to go all the way to Jenjarom near Banting to take pictures at the Dong Zen temple.

Just inside the main entrance, looking out

There were two rows of these fountains

A big statue was atop a visitor reception area right at the end of the entrance way

One of the many life-sized statues along both sides of the entrance

Another of the statues

A group of young students practicing on the big drums. They were very loud but not annoying at all

This cute statue was outside the visitor reception area

A visitor.... hehehe (taken by FS)

Outside one of the several large halls

Smaller statues

A group of three small statues

Statue with one of the Chinese zodiac animals

One with my zodiac animal...

These lanterns were swaying in the strong breeze

Section with a mini bamboo-grove

One side of the main prayer hall has this suspended drum

Directly in front of the main prayer hall's entrance

Statue of the Buddha viewed from outside the hall

The other side of the main hall has this bell

Some orchids at the hall's side garden

Rows of lanterns on either side of the main hall

A koi pond in the main garden

There was also a pond with lotus plants

Another view of the lotus plants

General view of the lotus pond

A mini water feature in the middle of the garden

Going to the tea-house at the exhibition hall area

Inside the tea-house (pardon the bad quality... I used totally wrong settings)

At the side of the exhibition hall area

A lotus in a pot about to bloom soon

One of several other statues at the side of the main gathering area

This huge diorama was at another large open space area

This is at the entrance of the hall where the drummers were practicing outside

The eaves of that hall

Resting under a bhodi tree

Statue outside facing the main entrance

View of the main entrance as we were about to leave in the late evening

Dusk was already setting in fast

We drove back the 45+ km to Kelana and we decided to have dinner at a newly opened Chinese Muslim restaurant..

Lychee drink

Halia drink to get rid of wind in the body

Air bandung... less sugar of course for me

Two types of cili sauces. The dish on the left is stir-friend bitter gourd. We almost finished that before the other three dishes arrived. And I forgot to take pictures of those... hehehe

Till the next posting~~!!
