Penang and the north... Final part

This is the final part of the recent trip to Penang.

After the Peranakan House, we made our way to Tanjung Bungah and Batu Ferringhi but did not stop at any of the beaches. Maybe we reserve that for another visit.

We decided to just take a round island drive to see what else we could spot. We only stopped a while at Titi Kerawang : the elderly owner of that little shop there wasn't too friendly. Years ago I remembered a different person running it and he was very amicable.

Anyway we drove on to another hilltop where there was a small park which overlook a nice view of the valley below and the sea further afar... and decided to wait for the sunset.

The sky was still bright at the park on top of the hill

It was still hot which made it difficult to take a good shot of the seaward side

There was a good breeze though and Edi took out the colourful windmill he bought earlier

As the sun sank lower...

.. the breeze grew to become rather windy...

.. and the sun descended slowly...

.. and the lights at the park started to light up as we continued to try get some good shots..

...the windmill picked up speed...

.. and night began to slowly fall...

.. gradually the sun disappeared behin the distant clouds...

.. and the wind dropped to just a soft breeze...
