Penang and the north.. Part 2

After the sights at Khoo Kongsi and the vicinity, we took a short break before making our way to the Botanical Garden in the late afternoon.  Lemon picked me up to see his new apartment, then we joined the others at the gardens.

Lemon showing me his dining / kichenette area. Spartan but functional

His living room area.. with his pc as the main entertainment. Note the cushions on the sofa, donated by FS which we brought along from KL. They co-incidentally match his sofa colour

Happy owner of a new wardrobe in his bedroom

Though he's only on the 5th floor, the view out of his window is quite nice. It soon rained a bit and when it stopped, we made our way to the Botanical Garden.

This was the somewhat misty atmosphere at the garden

These weeping watever trees were quite nice, especially after the rain they looked fresh

Lost ducks I think. But then, they won't know it since they weren't live ones..

A mother and child at play. Rare happening these days. Most just feed their offsprings with chicken nuggets and that's it, blissfully thinking they have done their parental duties.

Arthur, in whose apartment we stayed

The rain gave rise to some very beautiful droplets on the leaves of this tree

A closer look at the wet leaves. Almost christmas-like

See what I mean?

This scene made my day. Totally.

Same scene with different cameo actors

A large number of joggers and walkers were there

Edi shooting a scene

FS and Chung taking a respite

Who's shooting who shooting what?

Lemon without his tree

Plenty of this canonballs flower along the pathway

Lemon's jogging friend ( the one in tank-tops lah )

As soon as our walk ended, it began to drizzle again so we decided to head for a restaurant to have dinner since it was already getting dark.

The restaurant was opposite Island Plaza and it was called
"No Eyed Deer"

Guess who was thirsty?

Guess who was ravenous?

I think this was what FS ordered after his soup

Arthur preferred a thick sausage

Lemon devoured this

Edi had this

I had Laotian Laksa. The waiter claimed it's one of their signature dishes.

I will continue with part 3 in a day or so..

Till the next posting~~!!
